Micronetics VCO Products Div.announces it has completed development of a Tri-Band VCO covering the EGSM, PCS, DCS bands. This breakthrough is a another choice when customers are designing new products.

In the past, a dual band VCO only offered two of the three bands resulting in the need for a second VCO on the same board, which in turn used more space. Now they can achieve all three bandwidths in one 9x7mm package. The VCO can be used with a number of direct conversion chipsets that are currently offered by Infineon, Hitachi and ADI. These chipsets are used in many wireless communication applications, including PDA accesesories, laptop accessories, and handset designs.
