Micronetics Redesigns VCOs For Smaller Package Size
Stuart Bernstein, Vice President of Micronetics/VCO Products, stated "We duplicated or improved the performance of the original Qualcomm-designed VCOs in reliability and repeatability that our customers have come to expect. We took advantage of smaller, higher performing and less expensive components that are now available. These new smaller designs, in half inch square surface mount packages, are as reliable as the designs originally created by Qualcomm. An additional feature is, unlike most VCOs offered by others, most of these models are in-stock and available off-the-shelf."
This line of wide band VCOs compliments Micronetics' other VCOs that cover most frequencies from 100MHz to 7GHz. We currently offer approximately 100 designs that cover this frequency range and are continually developing new designs for customers in sizes from .300 to .910 square inch. This reflects our commitment to work closely with customers to support them through their product design and development process, with quick-turnaround prototypes, high quality parts and on-time deliveries."
VCOs are a critical component in most wireless devices, from cellular or PCS base stations to subscriber units and other types of equipment.
