Micronetics Introduces Its Wave3GTM Next Generation Communication Test Platform
Hudson, NH -- (BusinessWire) -- October 31, 2001 -- Micronetics Wireless, Inc. (Nasdaq/Noiz) announced the introduction of its Wave3G Communications Testing Platform at the 2001 CDMA-Americas Show in San Diego, CA.

The Wave3G platform is an advanced testing platform. Its key features include a significant improvement in multipath fading testing for WCDMA, cdma2000, and cdmaOne, together with an internal architecture including a built-in digital power meter, dual mode noise source and AGC (automatic gain control) circuitry. This platform is designed for use for testing noise impairments and channel simulation of current and next generation 3G wireless communications systems.

The Wave3G platform was developed through a joint venture between Micronetics and Hollis Electronics Company. The Joint Venture is developing a series of testing products for markets including mobile handsets for Cellular and PCS, 3G Broadband, Wireless Local Loop, Wireless LAN, and Digital TV. Dr. Moeness Amin of Villanova University is assisting the Joint Venture in the theoretical framework in support of the Wave3G Communications Testing Platform technology. By combining the resources of Micronetics, Hollis and Dr. Amin, Micronetics is developing a capability to launch leading edge, state of the art testing products more quickly in response to customer needs.

The Wave3G demonstration includes the generation of a faded WCDMA uplink signal and can be seen at Micronetics Booth Number 705 at the CDMA-Americas Show in the San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, CA, from October 31 through November 2, 2001.
