Micronetics Introduces LNAs for SATCOM Market; New High Power Switches
Philadelphia, PA -- (BUSINESS/WIRE) -- June 10, 2003 -- Micronetics' Defense Electronics Group (Nasdaq/NOIZ) introduced a family of low noise waveguide amplifiers (LNAs) designed for the Satellite Communication (SatCom) market. These amplifiers, amongst the lowest noise LNAs currently available, are offered in a frequency range of 8.6 Hz to 12 GHz. These LNAs are available in industry standard waveguide packaging, including WR-90, WR-112 and WR-75 flange styles.

David Robbins, Senior Vice President, stated "The development of these LNAs was achieved through the synergistic efforts of several Divisions of our Defense Electronics Group. In this instance, noise optimization knowledge from our Noise Products Group helped us to significantly improve performance for these LNAs. These LNAs offer extremely low noise figure and were designed for applications such as Digital Broadcast Systems, Satellite Tracking Stations and Telemetry."

Separately, Micronetics' Enon Microwave Division announced the introduction of several new high power microwave switches, including a two, three and four throw, ranging in frequency from 20 MHz to 1 GHz. Each switch can handle power up to 1,200 watts CW and is 100% high power tested.

Typical applications for these switches are in communication jammers, as UHF and VHF transmit/receive switches or for switch filter banks. Several models will be on display at the MTT-S Show in Philadelphia, PA, from June 10-13, 2003, at Booth No. 1011.
