MICRONETICS WIRELESS TO SUPPORT SEMINAR ON SMART ANTENNA TECHNOLOGY
Hudson, NH -- Micronetics Wireless Inc. announced today that it will be supporting a seminar on smart antenna systems - the next generation in wireless communication technology - to be held May 8, 1998, at Villanova University.

The one-day workshop is set to feature speakers from AT&T Labs Research, Stanford University, the University of Texas and University of California at Santa Barbara. It is being sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and chaired by Dr. Moeness G. Amin, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Villanova University. Comcast Cellular Communications is also supporting the seminar along with Micronetics Wireless.

"Our interest in smart antenna technology goes back about a year now," said Richard Kalin, Micronetics Wireless President. "Given the increased acceptance of smart antenna systems, we felt that significant testing of these systems would ultimately be needed to assist customers in evaluating the available products. That's when we began to look for ways to adapt our technologies for use in this promising marketplace."

The company plans to introduce a new smart antenna test set later this year. The new product is being designed to test the many-varied types of smart antenna system configurations. Dr. Amin is a technical consultant to Micronetics on this project.

Based in Hudson, NH, Micronetics Wireless develops and manufactures specialized RF components and wireless test equipment that's designed to help OEMs and service providers deliver high quality communication services.
