FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MICRONETICS WIRELESS TO SUPPLY VCOS FOR SPREAD SPECTRUM MICROWAVE SYSTEM
VCOs are components widely-used in today's wireless systems to direct RF frequencies to the appropriate channels during voice, data or video transmission. The VCOs for this particular application are based on the Micronetics M3500 VCO product family, which is designed to offer dependable, repeatable performance.
"The significance of this order is that it has given us another opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new technology that has good growth potential," says Richard Kalin, President. "At the same time, we're developing the flexibility to adapt our existing VCO technology for use in many different types of applications."
Micronetics Wireless is already involved in supplying VCOs for two satellite-based communication system projects that are expected to continue over the next several years.
Based in Hudson, NH, Micronetics Wireless develops and manufactures specialized RF components and test equipment that's designed to help OEMs and service providers deliver high quality, reliable, communication services.
The company holds several U.S. patents, including one covering the design and high volume manufacturing methodology for low phase noise VCOs. In 1994, Micronetics Wireless acquired the rights to manufacture and distribute the M3500 VCO line from QUALCOMM, Inc.
Statements in this press release contain forward-looking material. Actual results may vary due to a number of risks and uncertainties.
