MICRONETICS WIRELESS INTRODUCES CALL HAND-OFF SIMULATOR DESIGNED TO ASSIST IN CELL SITE PLANNING
Hudson, NH -- Micronetics Wireless, Inc., (NASDAQ: NOIZ) today announced that it has completed development on a new product that can test the quality and consistency of base station hand-offs in CDMA, TDMA, and GSM systems.

The NT-188 Call Hand-Off Simulator is designed for use in the lab, for more efficient cell site planning, or right at the cell site, to evaluate an existing situation.

"The NT-188 helps you to find the threshold at which a call gets dropped, instead of passed along," says Dave Robbins, Chief Technical Officer. "Once an engineer or technician knows what that is, they can adjust the transmit power, or other elements in the system, accordingly."

With the NT-188, users can simulate a number of different call hand-off scenarios. One example might be what happens as a cellular caller drives away from one base station and toward two others with different velocities.

The NT-188 is fully automated and designed for PC hook-up.

Based in Hudson, NH, Micronetics Wireless engineers and manufactures specialized components and test equipment designed to help OEM's and service providers deliver high quality, reliable communications systems and services.
