Micronetics Acquires Product Line From Giga-tronics
San Jose, CA -- (BUSINESSWIRE) -- February 15, 2001 -- Micronetics Wireless, Inc. (NASDAQ/NOIZ) announced today that it completed the purchase of the hand-held power meter line of test equipment from Giga-tronics Incorporated.

In making the announcement, Richard Kalin, President of Micronetics, stated, "The acquisition of the hand-held line of power meters from Giga-tronics signifies Micronetics' strong commitment to broaden its technical base and expand its product line in its Noise and Test Solutions Division."

Ralph Marrone, Vice President of Micronetics' Noise and Test Solutions Division, stated, "This acquisition secures rights to technology currently embedded in products of the Noise and Test Solutions Division. It significantly increases our options for future innovative improvements to these products. We also intend to develop testing solutions using this technology and the generation of broadband noise signals for next generation communication delivery platforms, such as those involving digital video and wireless broadband access markets. Utilization of broadband noise signals is rapidly emerging as one of the most significant impairments used to test certain of these new communication delivery platforms."
